I am a huuuuge fan of Etsy. It's FULL of affordable and amazing gems. The walls in my flat are plastered with gorgeous prints that I've found on there. I have a self imposed ban from browsing the website...but then I saw these!
Say hello to my latest addition, a beautiful watercolour print from Etsy shop OhGoshCindy, FRENCHIE!
Frenchie is the Pink Ladies in my opinion. Forget Sandy, forget Stephanie Zinone (hey, Grease 2 counts!) this pink haired gal is my favourite character in Grease- ok, ok, I have a soft spot for Eugene too.
OhGoshCindy has a big selection of characters from your favourite films or TV shows, these were my other picks:
Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way and Cher, the most famous virgin who can't drive.
There is also Black Baroque, they print quirky pictures on top of encyclopedia or dictionary pages. I have a few of these in my flat. Including these two lovebirds hanging in my hallway. Why wouldn't you want a circus elephant flying away with a balloon?
I have them framed in a Baroque style white frame from Urban Outfitters for only £7 in the sale. They're long gone, but they're still selling similar ones on the website.
Maybe movies are more your thing? I love these prints by Claudia Varosio. She takes classic films and creates her own simple illustrated movie posters. I couldn't resist her E.T print! Or that she gave Cat from Breakfast at Tiffany's his chance to shine in his very own poster for the film.
Speaking of Breakfast at Tiffany's- hands up if you love Audrey Hepburn. I do, I do!
Those clever clogs at Urban Outfitters sell awesome A3 sized prints of movie classics- my favorite is the said Breakfast at Tiffany's poster. Or maybe it's the Singin' in the Rain one...I can't choose! Nevermind, you guessed it. They're both hanging up on my walls (the day I run out of wall space...I.Just.Can't) They're a steal at £10 for a set of 8 posters- you can find them here. I whooped with joy when I came across these as I was about to part ways with triple the price for a single Audrey poster online.
Have you got any Etsy favourites I need to know about? Let me know! ( there's a smidge of space on the wall I could squeeze it on!)
